As revealed by The Daily Telegraph, coach Gareth Southgate will choose Marcus Rashford to attend the 2022 World Cup finals and eliminate James Maddison.
Marcus Rashford has not played for England since November last year. Last season, scoring only 5 goals was the reason why the player born in 1997 was not given a chance at the Three Lions. At the beginning of this season, despite playing quite well, the MU striker was still ignored by coach Gareth Southgate.
MU's number 10 is not on the list of England's Nations League group stage in September this year. However, The Daily Telegraph revealed that his good form under Erik ten Hag this season helped Rashford be called up to attend the 2022 World Cup finals.

England eliminated James Maddisson and chose Marcus Rashford
Rashford has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 17 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring against Liverpool and Arsenal and scoring the winning goal against West Ham United last month.
Leicester City star James Maddison is also in fine form ahead of the World Cup, having six goals and four assists in 12 Premier League appearances for the Foxes. However, the Daily Telegraph said he would miss the tournament in Qatar.
According to the same source, Reece James will be absent due to injury, while Arsenal's Ben White will join the Three Lions to Qatar. Elsewhere, Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson is expected to feature in the 26-man squad, while Brentford's Ivan Toney and Roma's Tammy Abraham are absent. Jadon Sancho, like Maddison, is expected to be absent.
